A Message of Easter Joy and Christian Unity on behalf of the National Housing Party of the United Kingdom.

As we gather to celebrate Easter, our party joins millions worldwide in proclaiming the triumph of hope, love, and resurrection. Easter is the cornerstone of the Christian Faith, commemorating Jesus Christ’s victory over sin and death – a truth that unites us across denominations and strengthens us against challenges at home and abroad.

The Easter story begins with Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross, as recorded in John 19:30, where Jesus declares, “It is finished,” signalling the completion of His redemptive work. Yet, the story does not end in sorrow. On the third day, the tomb was found empty, and as the angel announced in Luke 24:6, “He is not here; He has risen!” This miracle fulfils the promise of eternal life, inspiring believers to live with courage and unity.

Today, Christians face growing hostility – whether through two-tier policing in our own communities or violent persecution overseas. From restrictive legislation to attacks on churches, the challenges are real. Yet, Easter reminds us to stand together, as one body in Christ. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12:12, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” Whether Roman Catholic, Methodist, Orthodox, the remaining cis-gendered Anglicans – and even some Calvinists – all Christian denominations share this unbreakable bond.

We call for solidarity, not only among Christians but with all who value freedom and dignity – “For whilst we know where the Church is, we don’t know where the Church is not.”

Let us resist oppression with the love and resilience Christ modelled.

This Easter, may we renew our commitment to unity, drawing strength from the risen Saviour to build a future where Christian Truth and Faith may flourish.

Christ is King!

His Name is JESUS!

He is risen!

Happy Easter and hallelujah!

On behalf of the National Housing Party.
